44th Annual Dunwoody Home Tour

 October 5, 9:30-3pm

For a number of years I've had the honor of being the official artist for the Dunwoody Home Tour. The tour benefits the Dunwoody Women's Club, a non-profit organization that provides a broad range of volunteer services to the community.

Each year I paint the homes on the tour and they are given as a thank you gift to the participating homeowners. Here are the beautiful homes on the tour this year. If you are interested in attending, you can learn more at this site.

Peony Garden

"Peony Garden"
12 x 16 Oil Painting
by Pat Fiorello

Was fortunate to be able to visit the New York Botanical Garden last spring during the time the peonies were popping out.  Had some photo's and took some artistic license to zoom in and rearrange the flowers a bit. Just for fun!

Red or white?

Red or White?
11 x 14 Oil Painting
by Pat Fiorello
$550

Put some finishing touches on a painting started as a demo in last week's Painting Flowers Alla Prima workshop which I taught in Norcross, GA. Shared the transparent underpainting method with my students.  Below are some photos of the set up, the first stage of laying in the composition with transparent oil paints and then starting to build the form of he flowers with more opaque paints
( see example featuring the red rose below).   I initially had a warm neutral background in but later changed it to the cool dark green to have the reds look redder by contrast with the green complement.

After base of transparent paints, begin adding opaques on top- see red rose
Still work in process, but able to demonstrate how to handle a red rose, a white rose and glass vase  for students.

Hydrangea Fun

Hydrangea Fun!
12 x 16 oil painting
by Pat Fiorello
This was my demo painting from day 1 of the "Painting Flowers in Oil Alla Prima" Workshop  that I lead last week at the Kudzu Art Zone in Norcross, GA. Below are my students with their own versions of the hydrangeas from our "paint-along".  I think, painting hydrangeas are one of the most fun flowers to paint. The colors are wonderful.

We're setting the dates to return to do another session in 2017. If you are interested, please contact me  with your email address and I'll add you to my newsletter list to keep updated on upcoming painting workshops.

Something new for you...

Fine Art Prints Now Available

Over the years, many of my friends, students and art fans have asked if prints were available for my artwork.  In the past, I've only had a very small selection available as limited edition prints.

But all that is changing now....

I'm excited to announce that a broad selection of my paintings are now available as high quality print reproductions on Imagekind.

This opens up all sorts of new possibilities for decorating your own home and ideas for gift giving.

The site is extremely fun and flexible. You can select an image and see it in a room setting.  You can select the perfect size for you by seeing how different sizes look over furniture to get a sense of scale.  And you can even pick your own wall color and place it behind my page of artwork to see which pieces might look best to complement your home decor.

There are a variety of options available including fine art prints on paper, starting from just $24 and even gallery-wrap canvas, starting from $90.

If you need help with framing, Imagekind also offers various framing options and you can instantly see the painting you want in different frames, mats or formats with just a click.

Right now, there are 70 of my all time favorite images posted and available. So if there is an original painting of mine you've fallen in love with in the past and perhaps it was already sold or it wasn't the right size for your room or your budget, now you can customize that image and have exactly what you want.

On my "Fiorello" page, there are images of flowers, landscapes and Italy. So plenty to choose from.  But if there's an image of mine you love that's not yet available, just contact me with what you'd like and I can add it for you.

So if you're ready to add some beauty to your daily life and freshen up your surroundings, I invite you to explore the possibilities at:

Or at anytime, you can just go to Imagekind.com and put "Fiorello" in the search bar to get to my complete painting selections.

Thank you for your interest and support!

If I can be of any help, just click my name below and ask.

P.S. A small piece of art might be the perfect gift to bring a smile to someone's face this holiday season.  Or maybe put something on your own "wish list". Start shopping here.
