One last color chart: Terra Rosa

I decided to do one more chart on the color Terra Rosa. This is the last of the charts for now. Thanks for following along this month as I completed and shared these studies

I have this color paint but rarely think to ever pull it out so didn't know much about it's characteristics.  I thought this would be a great way to see what it can do:

It is opaque, kind of a combination of a Burnt Sienna with a touch of Permanent Rose- a little pinker than an Indian Red. It mixes up with the yellow well to create a nice range or terra cotta like colors( I guess hence the name terra rosa). Would be great for buildings, many of those European villages and architecture.  Very subtle with the pink and magenta and a nice neutral with Ultramarine Blue( next to last column)

The complete set of color studies is available on this blog, look in archives for July 2011. The first post was on July 1.
