Winter White

"Winter White"
9 x 12 Oil Painting
by Pat Fiorello
$400

Every once in a while I like the challenge of painting white flowers in a white vase against a white background. There's room for a surprising amount of color when painting white.

Gentle Moment

"Gentle Moment"
12 x 12 oil painting by Pat Fiorello
$550

Usually I decide on a title of a painting as soon as it's done. Sometimes it's descriptive and other times I just look at it and ask what it feels like or what it wants to be called. And usually something that fits seems to always pop up.

I'm working on having more quiet moments this year and this still life seemed to have a feeling of stillness about it.  A quit moment to stop and think and just be. Being gentle with yourself. Hence, the title, "Gentle Moment".

A New Beginning

A New Beginning
16 x 20 Oil Painting
by Pat Fiorello
 $1500

Happy New Year!

My first large painting of 2018 was inspired by a still life I set up of a floral arrangement I received for my birthday on 12/31 with a silver sugar bowl and some additional loose flowers. Contains some of my favorite flowers- roses, hydrangeas, ranunculus in a simple white and green palette.

Soft Touch

Soft Touch
6 x 6 oil painting
by Pat Fiorello
 $100
Wanted to get in one last painting in 2017 and just had time for this small study of a white rose.

Today starts the new year and I'm starting on a much larger painting.

My mom used to say the way you spent New Years day was an indication of how you'd spend your year.  So I always like to get in some quality painting time to start the year off in a way that brings me joy!

Hope your holidays were good and best wishes for a 2018 filled with love, good health and abundant joy!
