Sweet Magnolia

One of my friends, Linda, just moved and was delighted to have a magnolia tree on her property. She posted the photo below on Facebook to share her delight with the magnolia blossom and invited me to paint it.

 I took her up on the challenge and did this small study yesterday. I eliminated the dish and background and just focused on the blossom and leaves. thanks for the challenge Linda!

      At least not that you know of :). All it takes is keeping an eye out for the beauty that is already around us and sharing that with others...however you choose to.. That's the mission of an artist. Thanks for sharing.and enjoy discovering all the beauty around and in your new home.
